Edison Middle School is an existing school-building structure located in central Milwaukee that is listed on the state and federal registries for historic buildings. Consisting of two buildings erected in 1928 and 1956 respectively. The development consists of a massive "make-over" of the buildings which will be repurposed into an apartment building for Milwaukee residents. M R Window Solution was contracted to oversee, supply and install the replacement of 250 windows with Quaker's M300 aluminum window series. In addition, MRWS restored 250 existing historic wood windows to their original condition, in addition to 6 historic exterior door openings. MRWS worked extensively with the GC and architect to assist in the approval process overseen by the Wisconsin's State Historic Preservation office in Madison as well as the National Parks Service department in Washington D.C.
